Introduction to Export/Import Tags

The Export/Import Tags tool will let you move tags from one file to another. The tags from the source file can be "transcoded" from one tag format to another. This means that you can easily convert Vorbis Comments to ID3 v2.x and vice versa.

Using Export/Import Tags

1. Start Export/Import Tags from the main menu, Tags | Export/Import Tags...

2. Add Source Files (files you would like to export tags from) by clicking the Add Source Files button. You can also add one or more directories with files by clicking the Add Folder button.
   Note: If you have one or more files selected in the Track List when you start this tool, these files will automatically be added as source files.

3. Select the destination files for each source files in the file list to the right of the source files list. The destination file is the file that will have tags imported form the source file selected in step 2. Add destination files by either clicking the Add Destination Files button or add files from one or more directories by clicking the Add Folder button. You can also add a destination file directly from the destination files list by clicking the Add File button.

4. Press OK to start the Export/Import Tags operation.
