Introduction to exporting playlists

Helium Music Manager supports the direct exporting to two different playlist formats

• M3U (General playlist format)

• PLS (General playlist format)

If you want to export playlists for use in players/software other than Helium Music Manager you must export them using one of the formats above.
 

Exporting playlists

1. Select the files that you want to export from the track list

2. Rightclick in the track list and select Playlists | Export Playlist from the context menu.

3. In the displayed dialog you first need to select a folder where the playlist should be created. Select the desired folder from the folder-tree control.

4. Enter a filename for the playlist in the filename field. Do not include an extension as Helium will automatically add an extension, depending on the selected playlist format.

5. Select which type of playlist you would like to export your playlist to, from the Type drop down list.

6. Optionally, you can also choose to use Extended Information and/or Relative Paths in the playlist that will be created.

7. Click OK to save the playlist.

Note:
You can export multiple playlists stored in Helium Music Managers database using the Export Playlists command.
