Extract attached pictures
Introduction to extracting attached pictures
You music files can contain pictures. This can be the album cover for the
song or a picture of the artist or group that created the song for example.
The following picture types (as defined by the ID3v2 tag standard) can
be saved in music files:
- Cover (front)
- Cover (back)
- Leaflet page
- Media (e.g. label side of CD)
- Lead artist/lead performer/soloist
- Artist/performer
- Conductor
- Band/Orchestra
- Composer
- Lyricist/text writer
- Recording Location
- During recording
- During performance
- 32x32 pixels 'file icon'
- Other file icon
- Movie/video screen capture
- A bright coloured fish
- Illustration
- Band/artist logotype
- Publisher/Studio logotype
- Other
Note:
These
picture types applied to ID3v2 tags, WMA/ASF tags and FLAC tags.
The
QuickTime (M4A, M4B, M4P etc) tag format does not allow picture types
mapped to a attached picture.
How to extract attached pictures
- Select the files that contain the attached pictures
you want to extract.
- Select Tags | Extract attached pictures from the main
menu.
- Click the Browse button to browse
for a destination folder.
- Click OK to extract the attached
pictures to the destination folder.
Note:
- To attach pictures to music files, use the Tag
Editor.
