About Release Type
Introduction
The Release Type field is used to make Helium Music Manager separate the
following record types:
- Single/Maxi/EP
- Album
- Anthology
- Bootleg
- Sampler
- Soundtrack
- Live Performance
- Compilation
- Audio Book
- Sound Effects
- Video
- DVD
As all tag fields in Helium Music Manager, this field is optional to use,
but it can greatly improve the operability when browsing and searching
for albums.
Applying Release Type to tracks
Release Type can be added in different ways in Helium Music Manager. You
can add it from the
Quick Editor, the
Tag
Editor, the
Tag Editor
(Spreadsheet mode) as well as directly from the
track
list.
Follow the steps below to apply Release Type to one or more tracks directly
from the
track list:
- Select the tracks that you would like to apply Release
Type to.
- Click on Tags
| Set Release Type from the main
menu and select a Release Type for the selected tracks.
Note:
- To remove a Release Type from tracks select No
Release Type.
Browsing for music based on Release Type
- Use the Music
Library to browse for music based on Release Type.
- Use the Release Type Filter from the Album
Browser to show albums with a certain Release Type.
